Emerton Leisure Centre turns THREE!

Birthday celebrations - Saturday, September 5, 2009

Join Emerton Leisure Centre in celebrating its third birthday on Saturday, September 5 with a huge Family Fun Day celebration and everyone is invited!

The birthday party celebrations will kick-start from 11am and will feature:

  • Trampoline Bungee
  • Jumping Castle
  • Clown
  • Face painting
  • Footy Toss challenge
  • Waterslide and Inflatable fun
  • Live hip hop performance and interactive workshop by Liv'en Truth
  • Kids games and activities
  • Launch of the Beach Volleyball Court by Mayor Lowles and a special guest
  • Launch of our Mascot and the winners of our competition
  • Weekend Warriors (2pm - 4pm), a two hour intense workout designed to challenge your fitness, stamina and your resolve.
  • Fire Brigade display
  • Star Mates Adventure Play Land
  • Rides, prizes and much more

"The Family Fun Day will be great afternoon of fun, and I encourage everyone to come along", Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Charlie Lowles.

The Centre's new Beach Volleyball Court will be launched on the day at 12noon by the Mayor Lowles and a special guest (to be announced).

"The Family Fun Day will be a great opportunity to see the Centre's Beach Volleyball Court in action. Throughout the afternoon there will be a mini beach volleyball tournament and exhibition match".

The winners of the Centre's Mascot Competition will be announced, plus everyone will get their first glimpse of the mascot when it is unveiled!

Emerton Leisure Centre first opened to the public August 2006 after undergoing an intense $15 million refurbishment and design process, transforming it from a local pool into a state-of-the-art facility.

The Centre offers a variety of programs and services for the community and has a range of facilities, including an indoor 8 lane / 25 metre lap pool with ramp access, leisure pool with beach entry, shower and spray jets and spa-seats, waterslide, program pool, 2 multi-purpose indoor sports courts with spectator seating and dividing curtain, change-room facilities, fully operation café area, an outdoor 7 lane 50 metre Olympic pool, outdoor 25 metre sheltered program pool, children's playground and picnic and play areas.
